When You and I Were Young, Maggie, Episode 183

George Washington Johnson of Ontario, Canada wrote this famous ballad in honor of his wife, Margaret, Maggie Clark in 1864. She was suffering from tuberculosis and died soon after they married in 1865. It became globally popular and was "acquired" sort of by the Irish.
